Principles and applications of exercise physiology

Course Description: This course describes the most important principles of practical applications and physiological measurements used in evaluating the physiological and physical condition of athletes. It also covers the most important laboratory tests that enable students to design training programs tailored to the individual physiological status of athletes and contribute to talent identification. Additionally, students will learn how to use the most important modern equipment that facilitates measurements and calibration of results, allowing for the evaluation of training programs and the improvement of athletes' performance levels.
Credit hours: 3
Prerequisites: SPOR211
Objectives of the course :

This course aims to introduce the most important physiological measurements used to assess the physiological and physical condition of athletes. It also aims to familiarize students with the most important laboratory tests that enable them to develop training programs tailored to the individual physiological state of athletes. Additionally, students will learn how to use the most important modern equipment that facilitates measurement and result calibration, enabling them to evaluate training programs and improve athletes' performance levels.
