Judgment Talks (2)

Course Description: The student will learn the rulings of prayer and the call to prayer, the method of prostration of forgetfulness, the prayer for rain, the solar and lunar eclipse prayer, the prayer of fear, and the rulings of funerals. The course will also explain unfamiliar vocabulary from books of hadith, grasp the general meaning of the hadith, know the reason for its narration if known, mention some hadith-related benefits from it, and reconcile it with texts that appear to contradict its apparent meaning.

Objectives of the course :

1- Identifying the Sharia basis for prayer topics (times, adhan, conditions of prayer, manner of prayer, etc.). .
2- Identifying authentic hadith from weak ones.
3. Correctly understanding the Hadith.
4- Fiqh Exegesis from Hadith.
4. Deriving and Appreciating Spiritual Values from the Prophet's Sayings.
Comparing the approaches of extremism, laxity, and negligence in understanding hadith.

Chapter on Prayer Times.
Abdullah ibn Amr: At noon, when the sun has passed its zenith, a Muslim.

Chapter on Supererogatory Prayers.
Ibn Umar said: I memorized ten rak'ahs from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), agreed upon.
Ibn Umar said the night prayer is two by two, agreed upon.
Chapter on Congregational Prayer and Leading the Prayer.
Abdullah ibn 'Umar said: "Praying in congregation is better than praying alone by a factor of twenty-seven." (Agreed upon.).
Abu Hurairah, by the One in Whose hand is my soul, I have intended to order that firewood be gathered... Agreed upon.
Abu Hurayrah was appointed imam so that people could follow him in prayer, according to Abu Dawood.

Saleh bin Khuwat: A group prayed with the Prophet (peace be upon him), and a group was facing the enemy. Agreed upon.
Chapter on the Eid Prayers.
The Prophet Muhammad arrived in Medina and they had been there for two days. Abu Dawud and Al-Nasa'i.
Umm Atiyyah narrated that we were commanded to bring out the young women and the menstruating women on the two Eids. Agreed upon.
Chapter: The Prayer of Solar Eclipse.
Ibn 'Abbas reported that the sun was eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). Agreed upon.
Chapter on the Prayer of Seeking Rain.
Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The people complained to Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) about the dryness of rain. Narrated by Abu Dawud.
Chapter on Clothing.
Abu Amir Al-Ash'ari said: "There will be people from my Ummah who will permit adultery and silk." (Abu Dawud).
The Book of Funerals.
Umm 'Atiyyah said: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) came to us while we were washing the head of his daughter. (Agreed upon).
Hudhayfah that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to forbid proclaiming the death of someone.
Ibn Abi Layla, Zayd used to say the takbir four times over our funeral prayers. Muslim and the four.
