The objective of the course (Sports and Recreational Facilities Management) is to provide students with an opportunity to understand the general principles of sports facilities planning, the general and specific principles and foundations of managing sports and recreational facilities, and the history of sports and recreational facilities.
1.0 Knowledge and Understanding:
1.1 To know the scientific and theoretical foundations of general and specific skills in sports management – and sports facilities management.
1.2 To clarify professional fields and review contemporary issues in sports facility management.
1.3 To explain how and when the idea of constructing sports facilities began.
2.0 Skills:
2.1 Employ modern management methods and approaches through the effective use of resources and technology. M4, 5 Lecture. Midterm written exams.
2.2 To connect knowledge and skills to compare methods of investing in sports facilities. M4, 5 Group discussions, oral tests – presentations.
2.3 To apply sports facility management strategies and achieve optimal operational efficiency for the facility and its amenities. M4, 5 Theoretical final exam research.
3.0 Values, Independence, and Responsibility
3.1 To effectively lead a work group, act responsibly when managing, and communicate effectively with colleagues. Q2, 6 Lecture Midterm written exams.
3.2 Use modern technologies to prepare presentations for course topics.
