Quality Management in Radiology

Course Description: This course includes quality management terms, fundamentals of health management, leadership, planning, motivation, and productivity in the radiology department, medical ethics and regulations, justification of ionizing radiation application and optimization of medical exposure doses. It also includes procurement, authorization levels, and quality assurance and control of selected radiological devices.

Prerequisites: RAD 212
Objectives of the course :

• Define and describe leadership standards, quality management terminology, and theories.
• Manage the radiology department, identify errors, and determine quality assurance needs.
• Explanation of the litigation process and regulations.
• Explanation of X-ray equipment quality control procedures and preparation of control tools.
• Justify the existence of errors and analyze the results of quality control tests.
• Performing various quality control tests for different X-ray equipment technologies.

• Defining, identifying, and understanding standards for leadership, management, planning, and hardware procurement.
