Origins of interpretation

Course Description: This course covers the rules and foundations of Tafsir (Quranic exegesis) by exploring its sources, the methodologies of commentators, and the guidelines for understanding the Quranic text. It also examines principles of preference and the reasons for differences among commentators, enabling students to comprehend the Holy Quran with sound and disciplined understanding according to scientific methodology.
Credit hours: 3
Objectives of the course :

The student acquires the skill of applying the methodology of Quranic exegesis according to correct rules, methods, and sources, and improves dealing with sources and methods in Quranic exegesis.
