Course Description: The course includes the study of the science of Tafsir, in terms of its concept, origin, sources, types, and methods, and an introduction to the methodologies of exegetes, and the rules and guidelines of Tafsir.
Credit hours: 3
Objectives of the course :

The student knows the origins and history of the science of Tafsir, and its schools.
The student should clarify the sources and rules of interpretation to understand the Book of Allah Almighty.
The student will be able to differentiate between the methodologies of tafsir scholars and the characteristics of each methodology.
The student will apply the skill of distinguishing and prioritizing among the interpretations of the commentators.
The student should embody the ethics of scholars in interpreting the Quran and explaining its meanings.
