Thinking and Problem Solving

Course Description: The course aims to introduce students to the concept of thinking and fundamental thinking skills, as well as to present different concepts and methods of thinking. The course also covers thinking development programs, in addition to presenting multiple theories and methods for problem-solving. This includes studying theories and also involves training students on modern methods of problem-solving and their practical application.

Objectives of the course :

The course aims to introduce students to the nature of thinking and core thinking skills. It also aims to provide an introduction to thinking, the brain, and thinking styles. Furthermore, it seeks to familiarize students with analytical thinking, positive and negative thinking, reflective thinking, and visual thinking. The course also aims to introduce students to programs for developing thinking in light of the theory of simultaneous thinking, the Six Thinking Hats, and the S.C.A.M.P.E.R. program for thinking. Think Creatively (CoRT Thinking Program). It also aims to give students an overview of problem-solving, problem-solving theories such as: Information Processing Theory, Lazarus's Theory of Cognitive Appraisal, Sternberg's Theory, modern methods in problem-solving, training in problem-solving methods, and the relationship between thinking and problem-solving.
