Course Description: This course covers the concept of theory in psychology, its characteristics, and conditions. It also addresses the concept and nature of counseling theory. Furthermore, the course presents most of the psychological counseling theories in the school setting, representing different schools and approaches in psychology. It also covers the most important applications of these theories in the field of psychological counseling, as well as the counseling techniques for each theory in various counseling areas.

Objectives of the course :

The course aims for the student to learn about: Critical study of the concept of theory in psychology and the concept of counseling theory, critical study of school psychological counseling theories, critical study of the most important principles and foundations of each theory, critical study of the applications of each psychological counseling theory in the school setting, including a critical study of the counseling techniques derived from the theories. The student will be able to critically evaluate and compare psychological counseling theories in the school setting.
