Course Description: The course includes the knowledge, skills, and practical aspects related to cognitive psychology, such as: understanding the concept of cognitive psychology, its most important trends, the factors that led to its emergence, and its relationship to other branches of psychology. Understanding the theoretical foundations of knowledge representation and its types, its determinants, and models of cognitive representation of information.

Objectives of the course :

The course aims to equip students with the knowledge, information, and skills necessary for an in-depth understanding of cognitive psychology and its modern theoretical trends.
Identifying modern trends in the study of cognitive development, such as Piaget, Vygotsky.
Familiarity with the role of mental processes such as attention, perception, memory, thinking, learning, and information processing, as well as the recognition of cognitive structure.
Understanding the Concept of Thinking About Thinking (Metacognition): Its Role in Learning and Cognitive Activity, Metacognitive Skills, Their Components, and Models.
Identifying cognitive styles, learning styles, cognitive strategies, and metacognition, and their use in the field of learning.
Familiarity with inferential thinking processes.
