Course Description: This course introduces students to the essence and nature of mental abilities, the development of research in them and their measurement, methods of studying mental abilities, conditions for mental measurement, theories explaining mental abilities, benefits of mental measurement, intelligence and its nature, evolution of trends in its study, objectives of studying intelligence, importance of studying intelligence, theories explaining intelligence, contemporary trends in intelligence measurement, traditional intelligence scales, and contemporary applications in intelligence measurement and multiple intelligences.

The course aims to build fundamental concepts and competencies in the student related to scientific knowledge concerning mental abilities, intelligence, and contemporary trends in their measurement.
