Art therapy

Course Description: The course introduces art therapy, its origins, and objectives. It also covers trends and theories in art therapy. Modern art movements are presented. Furthermore, the course focuses on the procedures and stages of art therapy, including psychological diagnosis through projection and drawing analysis. Finally, it presents therapeutic and rehabilitative methods in art therapy.

Prerequisites: PSY3208
Objectives of the course :

• The course aims to:
• Introduce the student to the concept of art therapy, its goals, benefits, and clinical implications. .
• Student's understanding of the roles of the art therapist.
• Introducing the student to art therapy theories.
• Introduce the student to therapeutic and rehabilitative methods in art therapy. .
• Clarification for the student on the basics of analyzing children's drawings. .
