Course Description: This course presents the concept of behavioral therapy, its origins, and its development. It focuses on classical behavioral therapies, their methods, therapeutic techniques, and applications. It also emphasizes the focus on advanced behavioral therapies, which are third-wave therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Behavioral Activation Therapy, and others. It will present their therapeutic techniques, methods, and applications in psychology research.

Objectives of the course :

The main objective of the course is to:
Students will learn about the fundamental contributions to the development of behavioral therapy.
Students learn the principles and foundations of traditional behavioral therapy.
