Professional and Ethical Issues in Counseling and Psychotherapy

Course Description: This course introduces professional ethics and a number of contemporary problems, issues, and variables from the perspective of counseling and psychotherapy, and crisis counseling, such as: chronic illnesses, psychological trauma, and other contemporary societal issues like value conflicts, prejudice, discrimination, and unemployment, and their psychological effects and counseling mechanisms for dealing with them.

The course aims to:
• Identify the most important contemporary topics, problems, and issues in the local community, as well as regional and global communities, and how to address them from a therapeutic guidance perspective.
