Trauma and Crisis Psychology

Course Description: This course provides an explanation of the concepts of trauma and crisis and their psychological, social, and neurological impact on individuals. It also presents a review of the most important psychological disorders and psychosomatic symptoms resulting from trauma. Furthermore, it covers possible therapeutic interventions that can be used in dealing with these crises, as well as methods for preventing psychological crises following trauma. .

Objectives of the course :

• The course aims to:
• Introducing students to the concept of trauma psychology and the stages of trauma.
• Introduce students to models for dealing with different levels of trauma resulting from divorce, death, and chronic illnesses.
• Introduce students to the concept of crisis and differentiate between the concept and related variables.
• Introducing students to the most important psychological strikes and psychosomatic symptoms resulting from trauma.
Defining students' roles in psychological and religious psychological counseling during crises.
• Training students on therapeutic interventions that can be used to deal with trauma and crises.
• Training students on methods of psychological crisis prevention after trauma.
