Course Description: This course covers the principles and concepts of abnormal psychology, the relationship between abnormal psychology and psychology, the identification and classification of abnormal categories, and the meaning of linguistic disorders, their concept, causes, measurement, and diagnosis, as well as methods of dealing with them. It also presents gifted and talented individuals, their concept, characteristics, measurement, and diagnosis, early detection methods, important modern educational programs for developing the gifted, and some forms of psychological, behavioral, and emotional disorders, their concept, manifestations, and causes, and important modern educational and psychological programs for their treatment. It also covers the different methods of providing psychological, educational, and learning services for each category of abnormal individuals, the most important educational programs for abnormal individuals and their categories, and individual and group treatment methods and approaches. It also covers the principles and concepts of abnormal psychology, the relationship between abnormal psychology and psychology, and the identification and classification of abnormal categories.

• The course aims to:
• Enable the student to recognize the principles and concepts of abnormal psychology.
• Enable the student to identify categories of exceptional individuals and recognize their characteristics.

• Identify the different methods of providing psychological, educational, and instructional services for each category.

Identifying disorders of all types (psychological – physical – emotional, behavioral).
Identifying educational and psychological services provided to exceptional individuals, and educational programs and individual and group therapy methods.
Diagnoses various disabilities.
A mentoring program is implemented to treat psychological problems for individuals with disabilities.
Skilled in choosing appropriate therapeutic techniques.
