Project management

Course Description: According to the Project Management Institute, project management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities to meet project requirements. The course begins with an overview of concepts, including the definition of project management, its historical development, and terminology used. Subsequently, the course covers core foundations: scope, schedule, and quality. It then addresses required soft skills in terms of resource management and communications. The course continues by explaining supporting processes such as procurement and risk management. This is followed by advanced skills like variance estimation and simulation analysis. The course also deals with project execution, monitoring, and control, and concludes by introducing environmental support techniques.

By the end of this course, the student will be able to:
