Operations and Supply Chain Management

Course Description: This course provides students with an understanding of the importance of operations management, operations performance, building operations strategies, types of process and service designs, as well as capacity planning, inventory management, quality control, and supply chain design, planning, and operation, and how these elements can enhance an organization's competitiveness. The course also identifies key factors affecting supply chain performance, such as facilities, inventory, transportation, information, sourcing, and pricing. A variety of case studies will be used to illustrate how companies leverage these factors to improve supply chain performance. The course aims to equip students with practical management tools and concepts for each factor of supply chain performance, to help improve it, as well as to show how to achieve tangible improvements in performance levels.

Objectives of the course :

By the end of this course, the student will be able to:
Applying fundamental decisions in operations and supply chain management for products and services.
2. Using qualitative and quantitative tools to solve problems related to operations and supply chain management.
