Credit hours: 4
Objectives of the course :

This course aims to present and consolidate fundamental physical concepts in physics branches such as mechanics, properties of matter, heat, and fluid dynamics. It also aims to connect mathematical equations with their applied physical meaning.

Course outputs :

At the end of the course, the student should be able to do the following:
1 – Dimensional analysis with a focus on validating relationships and how to infer them.
2- On describing and applying the fundamental laws of physics, represented by Newton's laws of motion and the basic laws of linear motion.
3. Recognizing physical phenomena related to materials, their properties, and their applications in daily life, in addition to fluid dynamics.
4- Understanding heat as a form of energy, along with the concept of temperature and its measurement methods.
5- Understanding the effect of heat on different materials and the mechanisms of heat transfer through them
6. Discussion and Comparison of Results Using the Scientific Method
7- Demonstrate observational skills while conducting laboratory experiments
8- Use of modern equipment in physics laboratories
