Course Description: Characteristic properties of microwaves, Frank-Hertz experiment, Stefan-Boltzmann law of thermal radiation, Fabry-Perot interferometer, Electro-optic Kerr effect, Determination of Planck's constant through the study of the photoelectric effect using an integrated device, Magneto-optic Faraday effect, Balmer series and determination of Rydberg's constant, Normal Zeeman effect.

Objectives of the course :

Increasing the student's comprehension of modern theories by observing and measuring phenomena that practically confirm these theories.

Course outputs :

At the end of the course, the student should be able to do the following:
1- Conducting various experiments in modern physics.
2- Innovate some means by which physical phenomena can be verified in modern physics.
3- Understanding the methods used for the experimental verification of phenomena in modern physics.
