Physiology (2)

Course description: This course is designed to study how the human body interacts with the surrounding environment through the nervous and muscular systems, and it also covers the fundamental principles of cardiovascular physiology. In general, the course aims to explain the mechanisms controlling movement, the methods of receiving, recording, and interpreting various sensations, and how the body communicates with the external environment. The course also focuses on the clinical aspects associated with neuromuscular disorders and diseases, as well as cardiovascular diseases.
Credits: 5
Objectives of the course :

1. Helping students develop their knowledge and understanding of human body functions, as well as the physiological control and regulatory mechanisms of its various systems.
2. To provide students with the fundamental knowledge necessary to understand the key concepts of functional integration among the various body systems.
3. Provide the necessary scientific background for subsequent professional and specialized courses that rely on physiological principles.
4. Developing the professional attitudes and concepts necessary for effective professional practice, including leadership and teamwork skills.

1.1 (K1) Identify the structure and functions of various cell components, including the plasma membrane, nucleus, cytoplasm, and cellular organelles.

2.2 (S4) Interpretation of pulmonary function test results, blood test results, kidney function tests, and other various functional assessment methods for body systems.
