Practical:
- Conducting experiments exposing seeds during germination, as well as mature plants, to unusual temperatures (both lower and higher than normal) and studying their effect on growth.
- Exposing plants to irrigation with highly saline water and observing its effect on normal growth.
- Exposing plants to high radiation and studying its effect on growth.
- Growth experiments for plants in nutrient solutions lacking certain elements or with excess quantities of elements to understand the effect of deficiency and excess on plants.
- Observing the effect of some parasitic plants on their economical hosts.
