Objectives of the course :

Provide students with basic knowledge related to different pesticides, their mechanisms of action on various agricultural pests, the resulting damages, and how to avoid them.

Course outputs :

. The students' ability to describe the divisions of pesticides, their chemical compositions, their mode of action on pests, and their toxicity to humans.
. Students' ability to propose control strategies, including selecting the type of pesticide, its commercial product, and application method, according to the situation.
. Students' ability to recognize the harms of pesticides and the safety precautions to be taken to mitigate their risks.
