Course Description: The importance and benefits of ornamental plants - Environmental conditions and agricultural practices affecting the growth and production of flowers and ornamental plants - Different groups of flowers and ornamental plants (herbaceous plants - hedges - shrubs - climbers - ornamental trees - ornamental palms - succulents and cacti - lawns - shade plants - aquatic plants) - Economic flower production.

Objectives of the course :
  • Introduction to the importance of ornamental plants and the environmental factors and agricultural practices that affect their growth and production.
  • Study of different groups and divisions of economic and ornamental flowers and plants, and identification of the most important plant species in each division.
  • Familiarity with the methods of producing and cultivating the most important flowers and ornamental plants, the necessary service and maintenance operations for them, and their decorative uses.

  • Identifying the different sections of ornamental plants and the most important types of ornamental plants and economic flowers.
  • Knowledge of information related to the production, cultivation, and maintenance of ornamental plants.
