Rehabilitation of severe visual impairment

Course Description: This course addresses the assessment and management of visual impairment, including the causes of visual disability, methods for assessing functional visual performance, selection of optical and non-optical aids, and vision rehabilitation programs, with a focus on improving patients' quality of life.

Prerequisites: OPTM482
Objectives of the course :

1. Identifying the causes of low vision and its impact on job performance.
2. Assessment of visual functions in patients with low vision.
3. Choosing appropriate visual aids for each situation.
4. Developing visual rehabilitation programs.
5. Providing education and guidance to patients and their families.
