Clinical Methods (1)

Course Description: This course focuses on developing essential clinical skills in eye examination, including history taking, visual acuity measurement, refraction, anterior segment examination, intraocular pressure measurement, and the supervised use of basic clinical instruments.

Prerequisites: OPTM361
Objectives of the course :

1. Perform an initial clinical eye examination.
2. Efficient use of clinical devices.
3. Systematically assess visual status.
4. Document examination results accurately.
5. Adherence to practice ethics and patient safety.

Course outputs :

• Conduct a comprehensive visual inspection of simple cases.
• Use of a split lamp and tensiometer and other diagnostic devices.
