Ophthalmic Optics and Recipe Implementation

Course Description: This course covers the principles of ophthalmic optics, the design and physical and optical properties of spectacle lenses, filling eyeglass prescriptions, selecting appropriate lenses and frames, and familiarity with materials used in lens manufacturing and methods for their inspection and adjustment.

Prerequisites: OPTM342
Objectives of the course :

1. Identifying the types of prescription lenses and their characteristics.
2. Interpretation of Visual Recipe Execution Principles.
3. Selecting appropriate lenses and frames for different situations.
4. Applying professional standards in spectacle dispensing.
5. Developing skills in handling visual devices.
