Course Description: This course covers the fundamental principles of ophthalmology, including diseases of the eyelids, lacrimal system, conjunctiva, cornea, and sclera. It focuses on the causes of diseases, signs and symptoms, initial diagnostic methods, treatment options, and referral when necessary.

Prerequisites: MDL 352
Objectives of the course :

1. Identification of anterior eye segment diseases.
2. Interpretation of the clinical manifestations of common eye diseases.
3. Conduct a basic clinical examination and diagnose conditions.
4. Suggesting appropriate therapeutic interventions or referral.
5. Developing clinical decision-making skills.
