Course Description: This elective course is designed to help students gain in-depth experience and understanding in the field of oncology nursing. It will assist students in acquiring advanced skills in nursing interventions for various oncological conditions, enabling them to work as oncology nurses capable of providing high-quality care, while also functioning as educators, administrators, and researchers in the field of oncology nursing.

Objectives of the course :

Explanation of cancer prevention, screening, and early detection methods. .
Demonstrate nursing skills to assist with various therapeutic modalities for cancer patients. .
3. Describe the psychological effects of cancer on patients and their families. .
4. Application of Comprehensive Nursing Care for Cancer Patients. .
5. Estimating palliative care for patients at the point of death and the value of support. .
6. Describe the philosophy, concept, and different dimensions of palliative care. .
7. Assessing the role of alternative medicine in the care of cancer patients. .
8. Assessing the legal and ethical aspects relevant to the nursing care of cancer patients. .
