Adult Nursing 1

Course Description: This course aims to provide students with learning experiences that offer them the opportunity to acquire a wealth of information and problem-solving skills to help them plan and provide comprehensive and safe nursing care for patients suffering from chronic or internal medical health problems. The study includes a number of specialized diseases of different body systems. The course will also provide educational experiences that enable students to formulate, analyze, and study various nursing problems related to internal diseases and apply these skills practically in nursing skills labs and simulation centers.

Objectives of the course :

Integration of nursing knowledge with other scientific and humanities disciplines and their relevance to internal and chronic diseases nursing.
2. Integrating technology and information systems to provide safe and effective care for adults.
3. Discuss the impact of healthcare policy and the nursing process for internal and chronic diseases on the provision of care for the adult population.
4. Collaborate with members of the multidisciplinary health care team to improve health outcomes for adult patients.
5. Demonstrate professional ethical values that reflect legal and ethical standards in the care of patients and their families suffering from chronic illnesses.
Utilizing nursing skills and knowledge in adult health to provide comprehensive care for various internal and chronic diseases.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to demonstrate the ability to:
Develops principles of nursing care and health promotion strategies for acute and chronic health conditions.
2. Identifies psychological, social, and cultural problems affecting adult patients with internal and chronic diseases in the hospital, and links these changes to their health needs.
3. Recognizes critical thinking based on each patient's needs and problems, and plans care accordingly.
4. Uses a variety of medical equipment and tools to assess patients and manage their conditions.
5. Therapeutic communication is used when caring for patients and their families.
6. Communicates effectively within a multidisciplinary hospital team and is familiar with the hospital work environment, policies, and procedures.
7. Integrates diagnostic studies, pharmacology, and nutritional concepts to improve patient care.
8. Explains clinical nursing practices to establish the concept of evidence-based nursing practice.
9. Identifies sources of information on medications and their administration methods.
