Course Description: Students in this course will study the fundamentals of information security from both managerial and technical perspectives. Students will gain an understanding of various types of security incidents and attacks, and learn methods for their prevention, detection, and response. The course also covers the basics of applying cryptography, a pivotal technique for implementing security functions. In the final session, student groups will present a research project on a topic related to information security strategies.

Objectives of the course :

By the end of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Understand information security strategy requirements.
2. Explain various information security threats and their protection controls.
3. Analyze security incidents and design countermeasures.
4. Explain security incident response mechanisms.
