Decision Support Systems

Course Description: This course covers the concepts of decision support systems (DSS) in business organizations, focusing on their components, characteristics, decision-making models, and modeling and analysis techniques. The course also covers business intelligence concepts, including data warehouses, data mining, and business analytics, as well as artificial intelligence concepts, expert systems, and their role in decision support.
Credit hours: 3
Prerequisites: MIS 361
Objectives of the course :

This course aims to enable students to understand the concepts of decision support systems and their applications in the business environment, acquire skills in using analytical models and business intelligence to support decision-making, and develop their ability to employ artificial intelligence techniques and expert systems to solve business problems.
