Database application development

Course Description: This course covers concepts of database application development using the PL/SQL language, with a focus on conditional and iterative statements, exception handling, and the use of explicit and implicit cursors. The course also covers the development of stored procedures and functions, triggers and packages, in addition to database administration and distributed database concepts.

Prerequisites : MIS 365
Objectives of the course :

This course aims to enable students to understand database programming concepts using PL/SQL, acquire skills in developing stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages for data manipulation, and develop their ability to apply database management concepts and work with distributed databases.

1- Identifies advanced PL/SQL concepts and the main roles of a Database Administrator.
2- Explains the importance of distributed databases.
