Introduction to Management Information Systems

Course Description: Management Information Systems (MIS) is a specialization with a unique technological character distinguishing it in the modern era. It combines information technology, computer science, and management science. The "Introduction to Management Information Systems" course covers the following topics: principles and concepts of MIS and its role in supporting decision-making; the importance, characteristics, components, and types of information systems and their interrelationships; strategic use of information systems in various activities; their significance in solving business problems amidst global information system challenges and expert systems; business functions and supply chains; telecommunication networks and e-commerce; databases and data warehouses; and the stages and pillars of national digital transformation and e-government.
