Introduction to Technology

Course Description: This course covers the fundamental concepts of computers, starting with an overview of hardware and software components. The course also provides a glimpse into the historical development of computers from their inception to the present day. Additionally, the COMP 110 course focuses on the basic system unit, input and output devices, secondary storage, system software, networking, and internet technology. Furthermore, this course enables students to learn how to select a personal computer and how to ensure data security to protect electronic devices from computer crimes.

This course aims to enable the student to understand the fundamentals of computers, their components, and functions, acquire skills in effectively using various technologies, networks, and the internet, in addition to developing their ability to choose appropriate systems and apply information security practices in the usage environment. .
