Graduation Project (1)

Course Description: Students, as part of a team and under the supervision of one or more faculty members, will be assigned to design an applied project that simulates the real work environment they will encounter after graduation. The project must be comprehensive and include all necessary preliminary studies, final design drawings, quantity surveys, and the total project cost. The engineering design project will last for one semester. By the end of this course, students are expected to be able to perform the following tasks: 1. Identify and formulate engineering problems. 2. Gather and extract relevant information through internet and library research. 3. Work effectively within a team. 4. Generate alternative solutions to engineering problems, and then identify the appropriate and feasible solution among the different alternatives. 5. Prepare a conceptual/preliminary design for a component or system that meets the required needs. 6. Prepare and deliver effective presentations.
Credit hours: 3
Objectives of the course :

Enable the student to employ the engineering concepts and skills acquired during the bachelor's stage to conduct a comprehensive study and analysis of a chosen topic.
2- Providing the student with the opportunity to benefit from different course topics, and connecting diverse concepts with the aim of solving a specific engineering problem.
3- To give the student practical experience in design skills by applying engineering design procedures.
4. Enhance the student's ability to work in a team, learn independently, search for information from various available sources, and acquire data collection skills.
Empowering the student to express themselves clearly, highlighting their abilities and skills.
6. Supporting students' communication skills through preparing reports and presenting seminars and scientific presentations.
7- Training students to present their ideas and achievements and justify them scientifically.
