Fluid and Heat Lab (2)

Course Description: An experimental approach aimed at finding solutions for thermofluid systems through practical applications. Experiments include: visualizing potential flow fields; studying real flow around streamlined and non-streamlined bodies; analyzing fluid flow within pipes in terms of velocity distribution, pressure loss, and friction factor; measuring flow rates through calibration of orifice plates, venturi tubes, and nozzles; calibrating thermocouples; studying natural convection in systems with concentrated thermal capacity; determining thermal conductivity coefficients for some metallic materials; as well as evaluating the thermal performance of fins in both natural and forced convection cases.
