Hematology (2)

Course Description: This course is a continuation of Hematology (1) and focuses on white blood cell disorders, myeloproliferative neoplasms, hemostasis and thrombosis, advanced coagulation tests, and specialized laboratory procedures in hematology.
Credit hours: 3
Prerequisites: MDL 364
Objectives of the course :

1. Development of advanced knowledge in hematology and coagulation disorders.
2. Training students on specialized laboratory tests for blood diseases.
3. Develop skills in interpreting blood and coagulation test results.

Course outputs :

• Interprets white blood cell disorders and hematologic malignancies.
• Coagulation and hemostasis tests are performed according to approved standards.
• Differentiates normal and pathological microscopic appearances of blood cells.
• Apply quality and safety procedures in the hematology laboratory.
