Histopathology

Course Description: The course provides an understanding of histopathology through the study of microscopic changes in diseased tissues, principles of tissue sample preparation, and special and immunohistochemical staining techniques used in the diagnosis of diseases and tumors.
Credit hours: 3
Prerequisites: MDL 353
Objectives of the course :

Introduce students to the histological changes associated with various diseases.
2. Developing skills in preparing and examining tissue samples.
3. Training students on the use of special stains and histological diagnostic techniques.

• Interprets the histological changes associated with various diseases.
Applies techniques for processing and staining tissue samples.
Distinguish microscopically between normal and pathological tissues.
