Clinical virology

Course Description: The course covers the classification, structure, properties, and replication cycles of viruses. It includes a study of important viral families causing human diseases, their transmission methods, laboratory diagnosis, available vaccines, and treatments.

Prerequisites: MDL 240
Objectives of the course :

1. Introduce students to the characteristics and classification of medically important viruses.
2. Explanation of viral transmission routes and pathogenesis mechanisms.
3. Developing skills in selecting and interpreting laboratory tests used in viral diagnosis.
