Analyze body fluids

Course Description: This course covers the study of various body fluids, including water and electrolyte balance, their physiological regulation, analysis of urine and urinary sediments, analysis of semen, cerebrospinal fluid, and synovial fluid, as well as secretions, transudates, mucus, and pus, with a focus on laboratory tests and diagnostic interpretation of results.

Prerequisites: MDL 332
Objectives of the course :

1. Introduce students to the concepts of water balance, electrolytes, and acid-base balance.
Develop skills in analyzing various body fluids according to standard protocols.
3. Training students on applying quality and safety standards in the Body Fluids Laboratory.

• Explains the mechanisms of water and electrolyte balance and their disruptions.
• Performs various biofluid analysis tests accurately.
