Introduction to Biochemistry

Course Description: This foundational course introduces students to biochemistry, the study of chemical processes in living organisms, bridging biology and chemistry. It prepares students for advanced biological studies by providing a solid understanding of how chemical reactions support and regulate life. Students will explore the molecular intricacies of life and anticipate exciting discoveries.

Objectives of the course :

1. Comprehensive understanding of the structure and function of major biological molecules, such as proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, and nucleic acids.
Learn the basic concepts of acids, bases, pH, and buffer systems.
