Course Description: The Mathematical Applications on Computer course covers the use of the MATLAB program in performing mathematical operations and calculations and their applications, starting with an introduction to the program environment, basic commands, and mathematical functions, dealing with complex variables, matrices, and vectors, up to programming functions, solving equations, calculating integrals, and plotting functions, curves, and surfaces. The course also covers the basics of symbolic computation and its applications to single-variable and two-variable functions, solving nonlinear systems, and calculating numerical and functional series.

Objectives of the course :

This course aims to introduce the student to some ready-made packages and use them in solving mathematical problems.

Introduction to the MATLAB environment and the most important basic commands and mathematical functions used in mathematical applications.
Using MATLAB to handle complex variables, matrices, and vectors, and perform mathematical operations on them.
Programming application in MATLAB to create functions and implement solutions for various mathematical problems.
Using numerical tools in MATLAB to solve equations and calculate numerical and functional integrals and series.
Representation of functions, curves, and surfaces in two and three dimensions using MATLAB plotting tools.
Apply symbolic math commands to functions of one and two variables and perform symbolic mathematical operations on them.
Solve nonlinear systems using appropriate tools and functions in MATLAB.
