Protecting Intellectual Property Rights in Comparative Law

Course Description: The course covers intellectual property protection in terms of applying its legal rules and developing scientific and practical skills for postgraduate students in the field of its protection both locally and internationally.

Objectives of the course :

The objective of this course is to enable the student to understand the origin, concept, scope, and importance of intellectual property rights. It aims to familiarize them with the regulations governing literary and artistic property rights, industrial and commercial property rights, computer programs, and databases, as well as the means of protecting them domestically and internationally. The study of this course will be conducted in accordance with the regulations issued in this regard in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, national legislation, and relevant international agreements, within the stipulated timeframe.
