Political Systems and Systems of Governance in the Kingdom "In Depth"

Course Description: The course outlines the general principles of constitutional law, the general theory of constitutions, illustrates the basic systems of governance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, comparative political systems, and how to review the constitutionality of laws.
Credit hours: 3
Objectives of the course :

The course aims to introduce students to and familiarize them with the prevailing political systems in the world. This will be achieved through a brief study of the state, its elements, and its forms, as well as the main types of governance systems. Special emphasis will be placed on the monarchical system and its status in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The course also aims to comprehensively familiarize students with the governance systems in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, such as the Basic Law of Governance, the System of the Council of Ministers, the System of the Shura Council, the System of Provinces, and other related systems.

1- Understand the political system and related concepts
2- Mention the types of constitutions, the methods of their origin, interpretation, and termination.

1- Differentiating between comparative political systems
