The aim of this course is to introduce the student to the provisions of the right of ownership, the scope of this right, its means of protection, the restrictions placed upon it, the provisions of common ownership, and the means of acquiring ownership.
It also aims to introduce the student to the provisions of real rights derived from the right of ownership, in accordance with the regulations issued in this regard in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Unified Civil Code of the GCC countries, and comparative regulations, within the scope of the course duration.
Knowledge and understanding:
1- The student knows the rules of ownership and its elements.
2. The student will identify the types of rights that stem from the right of ownership.
3- The student should identify the scope of rights and mechanisms for protecting property rights.
4. The student will become familiar with the restrictions on rights and the reasons for acquiring rights.
Skills:
1- That the student classifies the rights derived from the right of ownership.
2- The student will be able to distinguish between the ways of acquiring ownership.
3. The student will deduce the practical importance of ownership and rights derived from ownership through modern technological means.
Values, autonomy and responsibility:
1- The student should have good values and morals in practicing the profession
2. Students will be able to form small groups to extract legal evidence from judicial rulings.
3. The student applies the jurisprudential and legal principles they have learned to case studies.

Introducing the student to the course requirements and objectives
Definition of the right of ownership, its scope, means of protection, and the limitations imposed on the right of ownership.
Types of common ownership, management of jointly owned property, and termination of co-ownership.
Acquiring ownership through legal transactions
Acquiring ownership through material facts, inheritance, and will.
The provisions of possession and its effects.
Rules of Preemption and its Effects.
Rights derived from the right of ownership (usufruct, easements, waqf, leasehold, and right of residence).
Provisions on Conditions Precluding Disposition, Provisions on Securing Movable Property.
Transfer of ownership between neighborhoods, communication, and contract.
