Course Description: A mandatory departmental requirement that introduces students to the rules of private international law and develops their skills in determining jurisdiction, conflict of laws rules, and how to ascertain the applicable law, its scope of application, and cases where its application is excluded.
Credit hours: 3
Prerequisites: LAW 101
Objectives of the course :

The aim of this course is to introduce students to the provisions related to nationality and related issues, as well as the provisions and conditions of naturalization. It also aims to clarify the rights and obligations of foreigners within the state's territory, and the provisions related to the conflict of laws, explaining how to resolve such conflicts through choice of law rules to determine the applicable law. Furthermore, it will introduce students to the provisions of international judicial jurisdiction, how to determine the competent court, and how to enforce foreign judgments and their resulting effects, within the framework of the Kingdom's systems and relevant international agreements, and within the course duration.

2. To explain the means of international private dispute resolution.
3. To describe the fundamental principles and theories governing conflict of laws, conflict of jurisdiction, nationality, and the status of foreigners.

3. Drafting contracts, lawsuits, and legal memorandums in the fields of conflict of laws, conflict of jurisdictions, nationality, and the status of foreigners.
