Criminal Procedure Law

Course Description: This course covers the concept of the criminal procedure system and its relationship with other criminal and procedural laws, the concept of the general criminal action, its characteristics, parties, and limitations on its initiation. It also provides knowledge of the rules governing the information gathering phase, preliminary and final investigations, and various procedural sanctions. The course aims to equip students with the ability to apply the acquired knowledge to hypothetical and practical case scenarios encountered in real life.

Objectives of the course :

The purpose of this course is to develop the student's abilities in the field of criminal procedure rules, their understanding of this system, an introduction to the rights of the accused and the procedures of criminal prosecution from its inception to its conclusion with a final, enforceable judgment, in accordance with the principles of Islamic jurisprudence and the regulations issued in this regard in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and comparative systems. This will be within the time frame specified for studying the course.
