The objective of studying this course is to introduce the student to and equip them with the legal provisions for debt security instruments, in terms of identifying each, their conditions, and their effects. This is particularly true for guarantees, assignment of debt, assignment of rights, official mortgages, possession mortgages, and privileges. This will be in accordance with the regulations issued in this regard in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Unified Civil Law of the GCC States, and comparative laws, within the allotted time.

1. Knows terms and concepts related to personal and real security interests (suretyship, mortgage, pledge, lien, and privilege).
2- To describe the fundamental principles and theories governing personal and real security interests, including their creation, effects, and termination. .
Skills:
1- To analyze the legal texts related to guarantees, mortgages, chattel mortgages, privileges, and jurisdiction.
2. Apply legal rules to the material facts.
3. To draft lawsuits and legal memoranda in the field of disputes related to personal and real guarantees.

Definition of Official Mortgage, its creation, legality, validity, and effects in jurisprudence and law + Midterm Exam.
Pledge by possession: its definition, creation, validity, effects, and termination in jurisprudence and law.
Definition of a franchise, its characteristics, its regulatory nature, its place, and its effects.
