The course aims to:
Introducing students to the origin, concept, scope, and importance of intellectual property rights, and their understanding of the regulations governing literary and artistic property rights, industrial and commercial property rights, computer programs, and databases, and the means of their protection locally and internationally. The study of this course will be in accordance with the regulations issued in this regard in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, national legislation, and relevant international conventions, within the prescribed timeframe.
