The aim of this course is to introduce the student to the procedures for filing lawsuits in civil and commercial cases, the stages of a lawsuit until a judgment is issued, and proof procedures, in addition to methods of challenging a judgment, in accordance with the relevant regulations issued in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A comparative approach will also be used to examine practices in positive legislation, within the time allocated for the course.

3. To describe the fundamental principles and theories of systems.

1- Analyze statutory texts.
2- Apply the statutory rules to disputes.
3- Drafting contracts, lawsuits, and legal memos.

Course Topics:
General introduction and introduction of students to the course (nature-objectives-requirements), the concept of judicial dispute and its general principles, and judicial procedure and its elements.
Litigation procedures, lawsuit filing and registration procedures, service of the lawsuit notice.
Following court proceedings: filing a lawsuit and registering it, serving the lawsuit document.
Practical application of litigation procedures.
Attendance and Absence Regulations.
Follow attendance and absence rules.
Session procedures, system, and hearing schedules.
Follow the session procedures, its system, and the dates for the hearings.
Suspension of litigation, its interruption, and abandonment.
Penalty for violation of judicial procedure.
Evidentiary Procedures: General Provisions, Examination of Parties and Admission, Oath, Inspection, Testimony.
Experience, writing, clues, modern means of proof.
Registration of endowments, terminations, confirmations, proof of death, and inventory of heirs.
